Day 2- What are the Layers of the rainforest? Illustrate.

There are four layers of the rainforest, each one contains differnt animals and plants.
  • The very top layer is the emergent layer, it is the tops of the tallest trees in the rainforest.
  • Next is the canopy layer which is a thick spread of branches and leaves.
  • Below that is the understory which has many inhabitants including lots of insects and frogs.
  • Second from the bottom is not a layer that ahs been mentioned much, it is the scrub layer which is all the dead leaves and fallen branches and even some insects.
  • The bottom layer is the forest floor it is very dark and damp as it does not get much light.
